  1. 1. Tickets

    Tickets may be sold and purchased only in British Columbia.

    Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older.

  2. 2. 50/50

    BC Gaming Event Licence #168301

    1 for $5.00; 200 tickets
    5 for $20.00; 4000 tickets
    20 for $50.00; 1200 tickets

    The 50/50 is a draw where the money received in ticket sales is divided evenly between the winner and the charity.

    Maximum 50/50 payout will be $10,000.00.

    If for some reason, the draw cannot take place on the draw date listed, a substitute draw date and time will be selected. All ticket purchasers will be able to see the amended draw date and time information posted on the same website the ticket was purchased.

    The winning ticket is drawn using Random Number Generator software (RNG). 

    All ticket holders are welcome to attend the draw.

    Winners will be posted online at https://shawniganbasinsociety.rafflenexus.com/winners on September 27, 2026.

  5. 5. Winner

    Winner will be contacted by phone by the Shawnigan Basin Society.

    Winners consent to release of their names by licensee.

    If a winning ticket bears a minor's name, the prize will be lawfully delivered to the minor's parent, legal guardian or trustee.

    No tickets will be purchased by the Board of Directors of the Shawnigan Basin Society or employees involved with the conduct and management of the ticket raffle.

  6. 6. Privacy

    Shawnigan Basin Society does not sell, rent or exchange any personal information collected from our supporters with any other organization or entity.

  7. 7. Complaints

    Any complaints can be directed to the raffle administrators by emailing: admin@shawniganbasinsociety.org. Administrators will review the complaint and take action if necessary.

  8. 8. Delay in Draw

    Should a delay occur in the draw time on draw day, every effort will be made to make the draw as soon as possible. Should an alternate day need to be announced, after approval by BC Gaming, all ticket purchasers will be notified via email.

  9. 9. Other

    Please email our team at admin@shawniganbasinsociety.org should you require a refund for any ticket purchases or would like to issue a complaint, and we would be happy to assist you.

Cause

We work to promote a holistic approach toward environmental solutions, community engagement, and local stewardship.The purpose of the Society is to protect and secure the long-term health and safety of the Shawnigan Lake Community Watershed specifically and the South Cowichan region generally, particularly the drinking water these watersheds provide. Our volunteers need your support.
